OCFW – Sugar Rush

O.C. Fashion Week: Sugar Rush Thanks to Donna, my old boss, I was able to attend OC Fashion Week with Lindsey! We were both excited and didn’t know what to wear and regrettably, I dressed way too casual for the event. Since it was my first time going to a show, I didn’t know what to expect! But, luckily Lindsey had gone to shows before so that made me feel better. Of course it wasn’t as glamorous as NYFW, but hey.. it’s a start right? We also were introduced to Donna’s new intern, Yu and we all had such a fun time taking photos after the event. Forgive me, my little point + shoot did not hold up to all the action that was happening! Most photos came out too blurry so I didn’t think to put them on the blog. The event was held in Newport Beach. So, I had my tutoring session, ate dinner with Lindsey at Yardhouse, and headed over. We didn’t know where to park and when we pulled up the guy asked …

Photoshoot at the park

I wanted to try out my polaroid camera and also have her model some of my clothing. The brand is called Secretly.yours and will be on store envy soon! Also, I’m giving away a pair of these sunnies so check back soon! The aftermath, look at those pretty polaroids. I’ll be back with the prices + giveaway soon!

{Officially} Shooting at Corona Del Mar

Love Wrap Bracelet Details Model: Christine Hoang Photographer : Me ! Location: Corona Del Mar Camera: Canon G9 (powershot) It was all very last minute, but my good friend asked me to shoot her so I decided to turn it into a mini photoshoot! She is just so adorable and pretty so I was very nervous to do so. I told her that I didn’t take the photos from the last photoshoot but I would try my best. The photos came out great (in my opinion). Nouveau Red Ring

Working hard or Hardly working?

Yesterday was actually the first day I got to work in “office”. I got to take all these wonderful pictures and just finished editing them. Here’s a sneak peek at what I did so far. Also – these should be up on the website soon ; so don’t forget to stop by Serene Sky to view them!  Taking photos do bring me joy, so I was ecstatic when Donna asked me to take photos! The lighting was pretty nice, and my model/coworker: Marion was oh so pretty! I’d say I took pictures of about 10 or so necklaces; although I wish I could just show you guys all of it… I need to wait!  Also, I’d like to update you guys! I’m going to host my first giveaway! Be warned, I will bother you guys by asking you guys to participate!

Tiffany Blue Accessories

{Outfit Post} Tiffany Blue   I tried to come up with an interesting name for this post… but really couldn’t. So, here’s a quick outfit post. I asked Brandon what color he thought this was since at 2 am it seemed green to me (I know…) but he told me it seemed Tiffany Blue; so Tiffany Blue it is! Planning to wear this on our trip to Knott’s today. I’ll have photos up by the end of the night 🙂  I wouldn’t consider myself an accessories girl since I’m always losing my necklaces, forgetting to wear my sunnies, and fiddle with my fingers too much for rings but as I’m interning for Serene Sky… I might as well try to play around and find accessories that compliment my outfits.  Outfit Details Top: F21 / Sunnies: Secretly.yours (my shop) / Ring: Thrifted / Earrings & Necklace: F21     These earrings are oh so cute… They really go well with the shirt. Close up of the sunnies. I’m including them in my giveaway soon!  P/S: Hope you guys are liking …

Lazy Fridays

Yay, it’s the weekend! That means I get to spend a whole two days with Brandon and explore! Plenty of things on the agenda this weekend, we just got back from Disneyland, we’re going to Knotts Berry Farm tomorrow and then ending the week with a Serene Sky Event.  Not surprisingly, I hate dressing up to go to theme parks because I will be too tired and uncomfortable even, to walk around in the hot sun. So, for those days out… I like to dress down with oversized tanks (which I’m all too familiar with… thanks to the weight gain) and shorts or just leggings.  Thankfully, my sister bought some gym clothes for me at such a great price. These were all purchased from Old Navy, they have a great sale going on also 🙂  From Left to Right: Brandon’s shirt ($8), Pink workout Tank ($4), Lazy Shirt ($8), and Blue workout tank ($4). By far my favorite purchase.   $2 Flip Flops At Old Navy.

Florals at F21

Ahh, the life of a college student – especially one without a job. It’s no wonder F21 is so common among teenagers and young adults; their clothes are super affordable… but you do pay for what you get. I actually wrote a newspaper article for our school paper on the quality of F21 and the sweatshops… but I’ll save that for another time. I bought these two items using their 20% off Family & Friends Discount. Also, don’t forget to check their SALE items – they are usually 50% off ! Of course, you’re going to have to fight through crowds of people and mountains of clothes… but it’s worth it. I also have an event on Sunday for Serene Sky, where I’ll be doing lots of fun stuff, I seriously can’t wait! I’ll be helping take over their IG, taking photos at the event, and also will be able to blog about it in the future. So stay tuned for some updates on that! Changing my wardrobe to welcome Summer

Move over peacoat, jackets and blazers…. summer is here!  This weekend marks the first official day of summer! When I found out, I was pleasantly surprised, summer (for me) is when school ends! Hope you like this new filter I’m trying out… it’s not from photoshop! If you guys do like it, I’ll do another Resources for Bloggers post on it.  I was contacted by Raise about their Campaign “Closet Swap”  which was to do a post about my summer favorites; so I decided to take some pictures of my new summer wardrobe. Bloggers are invited to join the campaign! Here’s a little bit about the website – Raise is a new platform where you can buy gift cards to your favorite brands at a discounted price, and sell your unused gift cards for cash!  From Forever21 to Kohl’s, we have gift cards to meet all your fashion needs.  Interested in selling your gift cards? Click here! Although summer is coming… let’s take a peek at my favorite blazer in my winter collection. Loving all the faux fur, colorful blazers and knee length pea coats!  …

Perfect for Summer – Floral Prints + Lace

I’m ready for summer – after all, I am an August Baby! I originally wanted to make a post featuring ways you could style black shorts (but they go with everything… am I right?) but the shorts didn’t look too nice on the camera screen so I decided to ditch the shorts and just feature the shirts. I love summer, but I hate the sun… does that make sense? No? Maybe the reason why I love summer so much is because of the fact that I can get away with wearing dresses at almost any time of the day! But, since I already did a dress post last week… here’s another post! Perfect Summer Pairing. I’m a huge fan of floral print… they stand out and are easily paired with black shorts, leggings, maxi skirt whatever!  I love this blouse (or is it a crop top? pretty short) because it feels comfy, the black shorts were the ones that didn’t look so great on Camera and the purse… Brandon got my sister for her Graduation just the other …
