Nekter Juice Cleanse Review

I got this as a gift for my birthday after hearing many people rave about it, thank you Cuong + Mai! I really didn’t know what to expect except it is pretty pricey, it is 48 dollars for this “classic cleanse”. Many of my friends go on the 3 day cleanse which is a whopping $144 dollars! But, for now – this one day cleanse is good enough.   A lot of work… Reading all the directions and preparation def scared me! It seemed like a lot of work and honestly, I just wanted to get it over with. Be warned, your cleanse will expire (my date was 8/18) so I had to do it before then. Make sure your fridge is cool and shake before drinking!!! The taste Classic Cleanse Drink 1 When I first drank the first sip, I said, “Wow, this isn’t TOO bad.” After drinking it halfway, I just didn’t want to drink it anymore! You can taste the sourness of the lime, and the cucumber and kale takes over most of the flavors. It …

D.I.Y Aloe Vera Mask

I like Aloe Vera; unsurprisingly I use it more during the summer than any other season. Why? Because I am prone to sunburns! If you’ve been forgetting your sunscreen and need something to help soothe those red rashes or burns, then Aloe Vera is perfect for you. It’s no wonder many companies sell Aloe Vera “Aftersun” Gel. So, how is Aloe Vera great for your skin? Aloe vera has plenty of vitamins, etc but for the purpose of this post I will focus only on its skin benefits. It’s great for healing burns or scars; relieves itching and soothes skin (which is why it’s used to treat sunburns), and it’s also 99% water so that means its very moisturizing for your skin! It also reduces inflammation.  I was tired of all the other Aloe Vera gels that I was buying, it had too many chemicals in it and didn’t work as well – so luckily my parents began to plant Aloe Vera in our backyard!  I actually have some more in the front yard. Here is 3 next …

What I’ve been eating.

I’ve been eating oatmeal everyday for the past four days! An accomplishment indeed, especially since I hated oatmeal. Whole wheat pita bread, cilantro and chive yogurt dip, my freshly made oatmeal (maple brown and sugar), PENNYWORTH Juice and Coconut water.  Trader Joe’s Oatmeal & Pure Coconut Water Maple Brown and Sugar Oatmeal: Tastes delicious! Seriously. Although my sister complains that its a bit sweet, add a bit more water into it then! I hate hate hate oatmeal but maybe because I never got the right one… I seriously have cravings for this.  I usually eat two eggs for breakfast, drink some coffee but this makes me feel already full. It does have quite a bit of sugar though…. but it does decent on the other vitamins. Plus, it’s low in calories!  Bubbling after boiling water is poured into it, in about three or four minutes – it’ll be done and perfect! For Lunch, I have one Pita Bread & the Dip. This tastes better than the oatmeal (well, of course) and thanks to the oatmeal – …

Summer Detox – SPA WATER

Good Morning Guys! I spent this morning making spa water! If you are following Fitness Gurus or Fitness Instagrams then you should see some pictures like this popping up once in a while.  Usually these water bottles are VOSS water bottles and in all the pictures they are filled with delicious fruits and even mint. I remember reading comments and people going, “Omg, Voss is so expensive!” So I thought, oh… do the water bottles come filled with fruits like that? But of course, now I know they don’t. The reason why people use VOSS is because the water bottles are huge ! I heard that you can get the water bottles from Marshalls or Ross and then just fill them up with veggies, I have yet to try it though. Anyway, whether you’re having fun at a picnic or enjoying the sand beneath your toes don’t forget to hydrate hydrate hydrate. Here are some easy and delightfully yummy Spa Water Inspirations! Strawberries: Strawberries taste delicious and can be found everywhere. They are a great source of Vitamin C, are antioxidants and prevent …

Summer Power Smoothie

Feeling much better after being stuck in bed for the past few days! All I did was sleep sleep, use my phone for some Instagram posts and work on my internship (more on that later!). Anyway, I hope you guys are enjoying summer so far – summer time means that my whole kitchen is stocked up on fruits such as Mangoes, Strawberries, Peaches, Bananas & Pineapple! For this little mini tutorial (because who doesn’t know how to make this simple smoothie?) I used frozen strawberries and Pineapple. The Ingredients 1. Strawberries – My favorite fruit… so sweet and yummy! 2. Pineapples – I actually hate Pineapple, can’t stand the taste but in a smoothie it’s easier to handle 😛 3. Bananas – I love Bananas 🙂 4. Milk – I prefer nonfat milk for this smoothie. 5. Sugar or Condesened Milk (although not necessary since Bananas are sweet enough)               My mother is a big fan of anything organic. Usually there is nonfat milk, but this time we used 1%!  …
