Introducing my camera : Samsung NX3000

My Samsung NX3000  Scroll to the bottom of this post to view some test shots with it!  On Saturday, I had my graduation party where I was surrounded by all my wonderful friends and the boyfriend. At the end of the party, my boyfriend and best friend asked everyone to take a group photo so as he was taking the photo, my best friend told him to grab her phone so he could take the photo. He went inside my room and suddenly came out with this beauty! I was so surprised because I was expecting my parents to get the camera for me after my graduation. Get a nice long look at this camera because hopefully you won’t see it too much (since I’ll be taking photos with it from now on!). This is my first non point and shoot camera and I couldn’t be happier! It is super light and compact – which makes it great for traveling, and for shooting vlogs!   Brandon was also sweet enough to charge it the day prior to my party, buy me …

8 tips for staying productive and focused

How to make the most of your day, even if you’re working at home. Keep productive with these easy tips and FREE PRINTABLES! I work at home as a social media specialist, so I thought I would share some tips that I use to make sure that I stay focused and motivated! 1. Wake up early and drink a glass of water with lemon. Drinking water with lemon has been known for its amazing detox properties, so it’s always a great way to start your day and give your body an energy boost! Tip: Put lemon water next to your bedstand, so it’s easy for you to grab it first thing in the morning!  2. Get your coffee fix or Tea Fix Coffee has been known to have some health benefits, such as lowering your risk for diabetes, or helping you burn fat. But, for this post’s purposes, we will only focus on how Coffee can wake you up and make you feel more energized and focused.  Tea, on the other hand, is known to be healthier and have …

Why Bridget Jones Diary is the story of my life

Why have I waited until now to watch Bridget Jones Diary… I’ll never know. Maybe because it’s due to the fact that the movie came out in 2001, when I was just entering middle schooI. But, hell , as a 22 year old college student – this movie is freaking amazing. Well, at least to me.  Because that quote is true to everything that has ever happened to me, and that will ever happen to me. And probably for your life as well. 1.  Because there’s nothing better than rolling myself into a blanket burrito and eating icecream while binge watching Netflix.  Oh, and the hopeless moaning of despair as I think about all the stuff I have to do, like finals week. (I have a boyfriend, so this doesn’t apply to me) But maybe if I’m single at 30 then that will essentially be me. 2. Because my mom literally sewed all my clothes and made me wear them to school. Oh Bridget, you’ve had it easy. You haven’t seen all the horrible things I had to wear… *shudders*. It was …

How studying abroad changed my life.

It’s been more than 3 months.. More than three months since I’ve traveled more than 7000 miles to Hong Kong and experienced life in a completely different world. I’ve always heard the quote, “Travel far enough, you meet yourself.” But, I never paid much attention to it. I’m not new to traveling around the world, ever since I was young I remember getting on the airplane and visiting my cousins in Vietnam, New York, or France. As an avid traveler, I never came back from a trip “magically” changed. But, that was different. This trip opened my eyes to all the beautiful things I’ve never thought to think about – or experience. I hope everyone will get the chance to study abroad, or live in an entirely different country for more than a month.  1) Traveling alone is the best. I’m more about adventures, less about routine. I’ve always been a “stay at home, read a book” kind of girl. I hated hiking, didn’t really care much for sight-seeing, and although I traveled – I never really …

Borghese Gallery – Rome

Hopefully you guys haven’t missed my Rome Travel Posts too much! After taking a break and going on a product review binge, I decided to finish up my travel post.  We decided to visit Borghese Gallery last because it was near our hotel. My sister said it was free, but I’m not sure because I read online that it’s 11 Euros. I remember having to call to make a reservation and having a lot of trouble with that. The first lady hung up on me , and luckily the second lady had an excellent grasp of the English language. We took a bus there and we made our way into the park.  The park was gorgeous! Make sure to spend a lot of time taking photos at the peaceful scenery. In order to make this post not too picture heavy, I decided to leave it out. There were plenty of people walking their dogs and one of them even came up to me and wanted to play!   First, you go and check in. There is …

Bloggers, Get OVER Yourself!

You’re just a Blogger.  Because you guys get all defensive, let me elaborate / explain myself . We already live in a world that is filled with material items, people who spend massive amounts of money to impress people they don’t like, and those who judge people who don’t have enough. When did blogging become part of that world?  I was recently invited to an event where there would be plenty of bloggers present. I thought nothing of it really, I’ve heard wonderful stories about meetups going great + everyone coming home with a new best blogger friend. So, I attended this event thinking nothing of it, only to be immediantly uncomfortable when I arrived. As soon as I arrived with a friend, someone asked, “You guys are bloggers? Which blog are you from?” Sorry, but is there supposed to be a specific way a blogger is supposed to look? Are we all supposed to maintain the same type of dress code, or blog about a certain thing?  Though my friend handled it very well, I was a …

OCFW – Sugar Rush

O.C. Fashion Week: Sugar Rush Thanks to Donna, my old boss, I was able to attend OC Fashion Week with Lindsey! We were both excited and didn’t know what to wear and regrettably, I dressed way too casual for the event. Since it was my first time going to a show, I didn’t know what to expect! But, luckily Lindsey had gone to shows before so that made me feel better. Of course it wasn’t as glamorous as NYFW, but hey.. it’s a start right? We also were introduced to Donna’s new intern, Yu and we all had such a fun time taking photos after the event. Forgive me, my little point + shoot did not hold up to all the action that was happening! Most photos came out too blurry so I didn’t think to put them on the blog. The event was held in Newport Beach. So, I had my tutoring session, ate dinner with Lindsey at Yardhouse, and headed over. We didn’t know where to park and when we pulled up the guy asked …
