Amara Organics Retinol Serum Review

I’m no newbie when it comes to Retinol. Actually, I’ve been using retinol steadily everyday for about 3 years now. One of my favorite serums is from Makeup Artist Choice, but their serums are quite pricey. So, after using their products for 3 years, I was excited to try a new serum! Amara organics offered me a chance to try their retinol serum which is 2.5%. The highest that I’ve ever had! Now, retinol is something that your skin has to get used to and for some – it’s very irritating, so be sure to test a a little bit on a patch of your skin first. Some background information about the serum A tried and true age-fighting ingredient that actually works, retinol is by the far the best thing you can do for your skin to combat the signs of aging. Retinol works on a molecular level to repair skin and stimulate collagen, resulting in firmer, smoother, wrinkle-free skin. Speeds up skin cell turnover, fading discoloration and improving texture to give your skin a healthy glow. …

Lush Father Christmas Bath Bomb Review

Lush Father Christmas Bath Bomb Review This is my first bathbomb EVER. So, of course I had high expectations. See Santa? Well, he’s from Rome. That’s right… I bought my bathbomb from Rome because it was basically half off and so cheap that I just had to buy it! Even though he was half off, he was still a bit expensive so I was saving him for a special occasion. When Valentines day came, I took him out from the shelf that he had been sitting on for one long month and brought him along with me to the hotel room.  Excuse the chipped nails . So, after drawing a bath – I threw him in. Watching my first ever bathbomb fizzle was such an incredible feeling (weird? I know). Now, while he was fizzing away sorry santa! I kept on imagining all the great things that would come from this $7 dollar bathbomb. Would my skin glow? Would I feel great and smell great? Would my skin be smooth and moisturized?   Second time I took it out..

Christmas Gifts

  Happy Holidays! The older I get, the less presents I get every year… but that’s okay because I realize that there’s more to Christmas than just gift giving. I was worried I would not get to spend Christmas with my family this year, but I was able to spend a quiet day in with them. Normally, on Christmas Eve I would head up to Brandon’s but this year… my sister, mom and I stayed in. My family isn’t big on Christmas at all – and this was the first year I didn’t have my annual Christmas party so it honestly didn’t feel like Christmas at all! Our house wasn’t decorated, and we didn’t have Christmas breakfast but I still felt very happy. I have such a great family who supports me and looks after me. The day after Christmas, Brandon came up and surprised me and my family with gifts. I am so blessed to have him! I also got a couple of coats from my sister and cothes (not pictured, of course) but I’ll be sure to …

Welcome Home Gift

  Welcome Home ! Ahhh, how great does it feel to be back home – if only, for a few days. I really don’t want to leave! For all of those who have been following me since BEFORE I left to Hong Kong, you must miss this set up…. I haven’t had Photoshop this past month and I do believe my photos have suffered because of it.  I don’t know why the lighting seems to change in certain photos… but anyway, my sister surprised me with this cute little gift set that she got from Estee Lauder. I absolutely love this foundation but ran out right before I leave to Hong Kong so I’m excited to see how it compares with the Benefit one. I’m a sucker for dark lips and since I didn’t bring any lipstick over to Hong Kong, I’m in love! My go to lippie is Clinique, but we will see how these do against it… expect a blog post comparing them!   Off to a wonderful day filled with shopping and …

What I’m Packing {Makeup}

{Makeup} I have no doubt I’ll be buying lots of makeup in Hong Kong, so for my trip I packed very lightly. These items are items you have already seen from my makeup kit (previous entries); but the newest item that I just bought before I left is the “Big Easy BB cream” from Benefit. Big Easy better than BB cream – Benefit You can read my review on this lovely foundation here

My Acne Story

Aren’t you guys lucky? Not only do you guys get to see me pimply, but also my weight gain. Oh well, I don’t care. These pictures are all available on Facebook (the most horrible one is – thanks to my best friend). I never thought in a million years that I would make a post like this, because I never thought I would be comfortable in my own skin. It just didn’t seem possible to me. I made this post to show and tell others that it does get better.. over time.  I’ve struggled with acne around the end of highschool (a little in middle school, but honestly… kids made fun of anyone who had a pimple here and there). I remember looking up posts of Frmheadtotoea nd QiuQiu and marveling at how well their skin turned out. They all suffered from acne and cleared up their skin.I also remember waiting for my skin to get better and hoping that I would grow out of it. After a while, I gave up. I never thought my skin would be …

Favorite Makeup Essentials!

Favorite Makeup Essentials I’m really big on simple makeup because I find it especially hard to find makeup that goes well with my skintone. I try to stay away from dark eyeshadows and smokey eyes. Here are a few of my favorite makeup essentials!  Foundations & Primer Left to Right: Egyptian Magic Cream, Napoleon Perdis spray foundation, BB Cream, Foundation & eyeshadow primer. I just added the egyptian magic cream because I used it as a moisturizer yesterday when I applied my makeup 🙂  Really love this spray; it works especially well for my skin and for that I’m thankful. I use it when I want pretty light coverage as it doesn’t make my skin feel heavy. But, if I’m going to Vegas then I’ll put on foundation and put this over it. I use this most of the time, hence why it is all used up. I really love this although it is quite pricey but lasts a really long time. The coverage is heavy and it doesn’t make my face look like an …
