Winter Scrubs

In case you guys haven’t noticed… I’m back in Cali and am missing Hong Kong terribly. There’s one thing I don’t miss though – the crazy weather. Since coming back home, I’ve been undoing all the damage that has befallen it last month… thanks to the crazy stress of having finals a month early and the unpredictable weather… it’s safe to say that I’ve been looking like a train wreck all of November and most of December.  Read below for a mini review !

MASK OF MAGNAMINTY – LUSH

MASK OF MAGNAMINTY – LUSH My first real LUSH purchase! Oh, I was so excited when I was in Langham Place and was able to finally visit a LUSH shop after having extra money. As you know, I’ve only been in Hong Kong for about a week now and my skin has been pretty horrible. I blamed it on the airplane trip, and all the food I ate while in America but there seems to be another culprit: my vitamins. More on that later. I was able to buy this for 100 HKD and was given plenty of samples. I was given all those cleanses and moisturizer samples along with three cleansing bars. My friend, Rachel, who didn’t even buy anything got the same amount of samples but they were shampoo and conditioners. Mask of Magnaminty isn’t technically a daily ‘facial wash’; it’s actually a deep cleansing face and back mask. China clay and fresh peppermint reach deep down to pull the debris from your pores, giving you that delightful tingly-clean sensation. We add loads …

Welcome Home Gift

Welcome Home ! Ahhh, how great does it feel to be back home – if only, for a few days. I really don’t want to leave! For all of those who have been following me since BEFORE I left to Hong Kong, you must miss this set up…. I haven’t had Photoshop this past month and I do believe my photos have suffered because of it.  I don’t know why the lighting seems to change in certain photos… but anyway, my sister surprised me with this cute little gift set that she got from Estee Lauder. I absolutely love this foundation but ran out right before I leave to Hong Kong so I’m excited to see how it compares with the Benefit one. I’m a sucker for dark lips and since I didn’t bring any lipstick over to Hong Kong, I’m in love! My go to lippie is Clinique, but we will see how these do against it… expect a blog post comparing them!   Off to a wonderful day filled with shopping and …

Argan Magic Luxurious Hydration Moisturizer Review

It’s been a while since I was able to review a product, but after running out of my moisturizer I decided to try something new. I usually tend to stay away from scented moisturizers or any moisturizer that claims to do things for your skin as I already use serums and don’t want to overwhelm my skin. But, since I’m out of moisturizer & serum from Makeupartistchoice… I was left with this. In the picture I accidentally put way too much but just put a pea sized amount onto your skin and spread it evenly. I love how it spreads so easily + dries quickly. Also, it doesn’t cause me any breakouts at all and the smell is nice (though if you don’t like scented moisturizers, stay away as it is quite strong). It also doesn’t cause my skin to be oily (and my skin is always oily so that’s a huge plus!).                                              Description • Infuses …

My Acne Story

Aren’t you guys lucky? Not only do you guys get to see me pimply, but also my weight gain. Oh well, I don’t care. These pictures are all available on Facebook (the most horrible one is – thanks to my best friend). I never thought in a million years that I would make a post like this, because I never thought I would be comfortable in my own skin. It just didn’t seem possible to me. I made this post to show and tell others that it does get better.. over time.  I’ve struggled with acne around the end of highschool (a little in middle school, but honestly… kids made fun of anyone who had a pimple here and there). I remember looking up posts of Frmheadtotoea nd QiuQiu and marveling at how well their skin turned out. They all suffered from acne and cleared up their skin.I also remember waiting for my skin to get better and hoping that I would grow out of it. After a while, I gave up. I never thought my skin would be …

D.I.Y Aloe Vera Mask

I like Aloe Vera; unsurprisingly I use it more during the summer than any other season. Why? Because I am prone to sunburns! If you’ve been forgetting your sunscreen and need something to help soothe those red rashes or burns, then Aloe Vera is perfect for you. It’s no wonder many companies sell Aloe Vera “Aftersun” Gel. So, how is Aloe Vera great for your skin? Aloe vera has plenty of vitamins, etc but for the purpose of this post I will focus only on its skin benefits. It’s great for healing burns or scars; relieves itching and soothes skin (which is why it’s used to treat sunburns), and it’s also 99% water so that means its very moisturizing for your skin! It also reduces inflammation.  I was tired of all the other Aloe Vera gels that I was buying, it had too many chemicals in it and didn’t work as well – so luckily my parents began to plant Aloe Vera in our backyard!  I actually have some more in the front yard. Here is 3 next …

Dermal Mask Review – Pearl Collagen Essence Mask

Time to relax, put on a mask and watch Netflix. My summers usually consist of me working, but as I don’t have a job this summer (first time), I spend my time blogging, designing for Serene Sky and doing chores. Life is actually pretty boring for me, I don’t go out and my skin is pale from spending hours indoors. Anyway, I finally decided to treat myself to a little mask that my cousin brought home from Vietnam. It’s called Dermal Collagen Masks; and she bought home a bundle of 4 types: Red Ginseng, White, Pearl and Aloe.  The lone SKINFOOD Masks, they were samples. There’s a store in Cerritos mall, so I’m hoping to try these soon. I was debating whether or not to try the White Mask or the Pearl one, I ended up trying the Pearl one. Directions/ Features Overall I like the mask, it doesn’t have a horrible smell and doesn’t sting upon application. Also, the mask itself is very large and I have a big face,I also like that they have parts to …

Olivia Care Hand Cream

Olivia Care Hand Cream My cousin gave this to me the other day and although I rarely use hand cream (I have sweaty palms), I tried it and it smelled great! Not too strong and not too light. I tried to find a picture of where it came from, but I skimmed Olivia Care and didn’t see a picture of it. I have never heard of this brand before but the website looks very nice and isn’t too flashy – maybe in the future, I’ll buy one of their soaps here.  Love the packaging, it’s so simple yet so nice!
