How to code your blog button!

Blogger Tutorials How to Code your Blog Button + Share with your favorite blogs!  Hi guys! Finally back with Part 2 of the blog tutorial! You can read the first part here How to create a blog button / about me . Thank you for all your wonderful comments and “likes”. You guys are amazing! Now, on to the tutorial. Here are a few tips for your blog button. 1. Make sure your button is not too big. I made mine around 250 x 250 px. The reason is that some blogs might not want to add your button if it stretches out their sidebar. You don’t want that now, do you? 2. Make sure you test out your own code. I could not figure out why my code wasn’t working… so I fixed the problem by adding my code to my sidebar and clicking on it. If it didn’t work – I would go and fix the code. It’s really bad if you give someone your code and it doesn’t work. Even if a reader …

Anaheim Packing House & The Kroft Review

A little late to the party… but I finally got to visit Anaheim Packing House! If you guys have been seeing “Pop bar” photos all over your Instagram and facebook, then this is the place that everyone has been visiting! Brandon and I stopped by to grab lunch and we were very surprised. We dressed in comfy clothes (Brandon was wearing basketball shorts) and I was dressed in yoga pants – although we were very very underdressed. Parking was horrible, so expect to park in the neighborhood & walk.  I would like to mention as a PSA it is very hipsterish, Brandon even made a comment about that. I guess it’s not too bad because I was able to take photos without being embarassed (everyone had their DSLRs out). I got to snap as many pictures as I wanted to, but most of them are not shown here because it’s too blurry. It was very crowded, so if you don’t like crowds try to go on a weekday.   List of all the food places inside …

Internship Advice + My Views

If you’ve been looking around for an internship or you’re stuck in one then here is some advice. This is for people who don’t mind working for experience or those who are trying to make the transition (like me).  1. Do not underestimate yourself. I always underestimate myself, always. I refrain from applying to stores that attract a lot of customers, or boutiques that have really nice designs and expensive pricing because I feel that I will let them down. Just remember, YOU have something that PEOPLE are looking for; your skill, your knowledge, and your willingness to learn. If you’re going to work for free, then you might as well work for free in a high-end  boutique where you will learn plenty of things that you can put on your resume. Never be afraid of getting rejected, apply to as many places as you can. 2. Make sure you know what’s in it for you. I remember just searching around and applying to the first two boutiques I saw, thankfully I got accepted. In interviews, people always …

Heritage Park Photoshoot

#Behindthescenes Heritage Park Photoshoot! 18600 Bloomfield Ave, Cerritos, CA 90703 I am super excited to write this post… so excited that I quickly hurried home, pestered my photographer friend (Patrick) and edited all my photos (that I took myself). This was taken with my little point & Shoot (the same one I gave Brandon for xmas). Just because you have a inexpensive camera doesn’t mean you can’t take nice pictures!!!  Here’s a little recap of what happened.. It was actually a horrible horrible horrible day. I was already running late for my 4pm appointment with my models (just two of my best friends) & my photographer. I got there early, so that’s how I was able to grab all of these wonderful shots. If you’ve never been to Heritage Park before, then please take your children or even your spouse here! It’s wonderful.    Heritage has so many buildings inside it’s “Little Island”. There’s even a castle (sorry no pictures because I was too lazy to walk around). Yay! Each “house” has slides, stairs, little ramps. Brandon & …

Blogger Tutorial | Easy Header + Make a Pattern

I never even thought about doing a post like this until Christina  asked me for a tutorial on my “header & widgets”. This post will be photoshop based, but don’t worry! If you guys don’t have photoshop just simply go to the end and seek out the other tutorials I have compiled for you ; they use Pixlr or Picmonkey. First up, you’re going to need a background. You can grab your background from google, or any other source (make sure you read the terms of use). Here is my favorite place to grab anything I can (from brushes, to graphics, to backgrounds) :  Deviantart. Use it, use it, use it! Your life will change.. for the better. To see some brushes or things I get from there, simply check my Credit page! My Example Background  Now, you need to know your header dimensions. How do you check that? Simply, go to Dashboard > APPEARANCE (That paintbrush tool) > Header. It should list the dimensions. For example: mine is like 1040 Height x 400 Width. Open up your photoshop & your …
