Delta Airlines – Best Airplane Meals

Delta Airlines has the best meals, hands down! Well, of course I might be a little Bias, since I only fly Delta but still – I love airplane food regardless.  Back in December and January, I traveled from Hong Kong to LA, then LA to England, then back home, then finally traveled from LA to Rome then back home. Needless to say, I felt like I spent my whole month traveling and getting sick. Even as a frequent traveler, my immune system always acts up. But I digress. During those traveling periods, the only thing that stopped me from going insane was all the movies I got to watch and all the delicious food I got to eat. Here’s a collection of some of the best airplane food I’ve ever had! Even though first class / business class offers alcoholic drinks, I’m not much of a cocktail girl. So, I always make sure to just get juice, though my sister always get Mimosas! I especially love how there are three courses; the appetizer, the entree, then dessert! The …

England Vlog

Watch my England Vlog ! In January, I was able to go to England to visit my friend Tom for a week. It was really fun though I wouldn’t really want to go again. London was way too overpriced and I prefer Rome instead. If you want to catch up on my England travel posts then you can view them here 🙂 This was my first ever video that I made so I’m very proud of it, although you can obviously see how “new” I was at making videos! When I travel in the summer, then I’ll be sure to post up even more videos! My rome files were erased, so all the clips I took were lost 😦  1. On the way to England – See all the yummy food I got to eat on the plane! 2. Brighton Pier – Regency Restaurant – My first time having FISH AND CHIPS. Delicious! 3. Ultimate favorite – Bourough Market – A Marketplace for freshly made food, everything was so delicious – also featuring my HUGE burger. See the rest …

Last day in London!

Morning everyone! It’s 12:27 AM and I slept a good 16 hours today – talk about major jetlag. I decided not to go to Japan because I don’t want to be inside an airplane for another month. Can you believe I’ve been on an airplane for almost 60 hours in a month and a half? Gotta say it… traveling is fun but the best bed to sleep in at night is at home. Anyway, in order to post about Rome I have to finish posting about London so here is everything we did our last day there! You can probably tell this post will be rushed… just a little, because I can’t wait to tell you all the places we went to in Rome!  Natural History Museum Out of all the places… this was my favorite landmark! It was huge and amazing. We saw many students on field trips and I was just terribly jealous, if I went here at a young age I would have been mindblown! It took us about 3 hours or more to …

Kensignton Palace

Price: £16.50 / £15.40 (online) TIP: Make sure to pick up the brochure at all the major train stations called “TWO FOR ONE LONDON.” It’s basically a BUY ONE GET ONE FREE TICKET to most landmarks and attractions. Keep your eye out for it because not a lot of people know about it.  This was the first place we visited in London. It was quite easy to get to, just get off at “Kensignton” Exit.  We actually bought Mcdonalds and got their coffee… it was horrible! I joked that the Mcdonalds in America tasted so much better probably due to the copious amounts of sugar we put in… hehe.  To get there, we had to go through a park which was quite nice. Make sure to take a photo at one of the telephone booths outside!   Tip: If you’re carrying your heavy coats, be sure to check it in at the coat room. It’s free if you show your ticket to the front desk clerk. Overall I didn’t really have that great of a time. I mean …

My England Vlog!

My First Ever Video! Since Christmas just passed, I wanted to thank you all for following me and for all the support. It has officially been a year since I’ve joined WordPress! To celebrate, I put together a little something. This is my first video, and I made it under 10 minutes so hopefully my videos will get a bit better and I’ll make more videos in the future. I’m not in the video, but next time I’ll make sure to be in my videos… so you guys can meet my sister, Jennifer instead!  My favorite part of the video was of course, Borough’s Market and our huge burger! And excuse the music, I had a limited list to choose from. Happy holidays and have a great new year! I’ll be spending it with Brandon again 🙂

Favorite Find: Bourough Market

Borough Market Excuse the red car that ruined my picture. This was by far the highlight of my trip. Why? Because it combined: Food + Surprise all in one! We were on our way to see London Bridge but stumbled across this hidden gem instead. It is the largest market I’ve ever encountered and I am so in love with it. Tom, surprisingly, has never heard of it nor gone inside so we all decided to explore it.  They have a huge section of all cheese, beer, and vegetarian food. Tom went crazy and discovered his love for pickled radish. We also saw a place that sold: Reindeer meat, Kangaroo meat, and Zebra Meat!     Tom got this at the stand above, he said it was the best he’s ever had! The Sausage on a stick that we got. I barely tried it because it was so tiny, but cheap so I shouldn’t be complaining.       Something exotic. Reindeer burgers, Kangaroo burgers, and kangaroo fillet. Our Wangus burger. It was really good, but the meat …

Regency Restaurant in Brighton Pier

Day 2 { Brighton Pier }   Brighton pier was about two hours away and reminded me of San Francisco and Santa Monica, just with less rides. I wanted to try Fish and Chips (Thanks Sham for letting me know about it). So, Jennifer looked up a Fish and Chips restaurant and we headed towards that direction.  Regency Restaurant 131 King’s Road, Brighton, East Sussex BN1 2HH, United Kingdom What we ordered Yay! My fish & Chips! Mostly everyone in the restaurant was hunched over and enjoying this delicious dish. Out of four people (Me, Tom, Poppy, and Jennifer) 3 of us got Fish and Chips while Jennifer got the chicken. We also all got the Cod, and I remember there was another option. It was amazingly good, I only like Salmon but I was so in love with this dish. From now on, I’m going to YELP some Fish & Chip places in Long Beach and eat there.   Price: £5.25 !!!! So surprised that it was so CHEAP.  Jennifers chicken. I didn’t see it on the restaurant …

Wildwood Restaurant, Maidstone

37-41 Earl Street, Maidstone ME14 1PF, United Kingdom +44 1622 755339 Wildwood Restaurant First of all, England is so expensive. Of course, I knew that… but I didn’t know to which extent. As Tom is vegetarian, we were limited to certain restaurant choices and decided to come here. Since Tom and his parents rented a cottage in the countryside, we had to drive about 30 minutes to get here. The restaurant itself was very cozy and nice.  What we ordered Wild Mushroom & Truffle Oil Pizza £9.95 = 15.55 USD I’m usually very easy when it comes to food, but this was horrible. Please do not order it! We couldn’t taste the Truffle Oil at all. Jennifer expected it to taste like the Truffle pizza at CPK, but we were both very disappointed with it. She even said that, “We could make a better pizza at home.”  Chicken Burger £9.95 = 15.55 USD This def helped the sour mood after the pizza. The chicken was cooked to perfection, and it filled me up. Margherita Pizza £6.95 = …

On our way to England!

En route… England! As you all know, I’ve only been home for about less than two weeks – so I’m severely jet lagged. I’m actually surprised I haven’t developed an addiction to Nyquil yet since I take it so regularly now. Also, I’m still recovering from Taiwan where I became deadly ill. As my sister reaches the old age of 24, she won’t be able to travel for free so… we decided to take some last minute trips to Europe. Her flights will end on January 12th, so we both expect to do some traveling before then.  I don’t really have any warm clothing since our winter in California is like Hong Kong’s winter. On the day of our flight, we rushed to Sears and bought me some boots before heading home to quickly pack. I packed two peacoats and one sweater. That was seriously all the winter clothing I had! Also, thanks to Nancy and Sham I was able to have two gloves and one scarf. We arrived to Heathrow airport on Monday, and left on Friday.  I’m typing this …
