Why Bridget Jones Diary is the story of my life

Why have I waited until now to watch Bridget Jones Diary… I’ll never know. Maybe because it’s due to the fact that the movie came out in 2001, when I was just entering middle schooI. But, hell , as a 22 year old college student – this movie is freaking amazing. Well, at least to me.  Because that quote is true to everything that has ever happened to me, and that will ever happen to me. And probably for your life as well. 1.  Because there’s nothing better than rolling myself into a blanket burrito and eating icecream while binge watching Netflix.  Oh, and the hopeless moaning of despair as I think about all the stuff I have to do, like finals week. (I have a boyfriend, so this doesn’t apply to me) But maybe if I’m single at 30 then that will essentially be me. 2. Because my mom literally sewed all my clothes and made me wear them to school. Oh Bridget, you’ve had it easy. You haven’t seen all the horrible things I had to wear… *shudders*. It was …

How studying abroad changed my life.

It’s been more than 3 months.. More than three months since I’ve traveled more than 7000 miles to Hong Kong and experienced life in a completely different world. I’ve always heard the quote, “Travel far enough, you meet yourself.” But, I never paid much attention to it. I’m not new to traveling around the world, ever since I was young I remember getting on the airplane and visiting my cousins in Vietnam, New York, or France. As an avid traveler, I never came back from a trip “magically” changed. But, that was different. This trip opened my eyes to all the beautiful things I’ve never thought to think about – or experience. I hope everyone will get the chance to study abroad, or live in an entirely different country for more than a month.  1) Traveling alone is the best. I’m more about adventures, less about routine. I’ve always been a “stay at home, read a book” kind of girl. I hated hiking, didn’t really care much for sight-seeing, and although I traveled – I never really …

Photography Tips for Bloggers!

If you’ve been following me since the beginning, you would notice that my photos have gotten a little bit better. Before, I used to just take pictures wherever whenever, but after fixing up my room I realized that the sun reflects quite perfectly on my bed. I began to take photos by placing my items on my bed sheet (white) and snapping photos – the white contrast with the lighting improved my pictures significantly. I have a point and shoot camera, and have recently started playing around with the features. I decided to search for some resources and then I came across a blogger who wrote, “I’ll show you guys some tips… but I’ll leave out some important things because… obviously for reasons.” Well, as a blogger – I don’t want to do that. Blogging may be a source of income for some, but not for me. I want to grow with my readers and help them improve also! Here are a few resources and guides that I have found – pertaining only to Photography.

Tips for New Bloggers

After blogging for more than a year and a half, I decided to compile a list of things I wish I knew earlier on in my blogging journey. I’ve always wondered why people had so much more followers compared to me when they had only been blogging for a month or two. Though some could say that it is content, (cause my blog sucks) others might say that it’s due to how hard they work. To be honest, when I first started blogging the first few months I did practically nothing. Yes, I managed to post about 3 times a week, and I have gone months where I posted everyday, but that was all I did. No interaction, nothing. So, if you’re a new blogger, I hope you can see this list and hopefully learn something that will help you on your journey that we call “blogging.”  Included in the list are some tips that I just recently learned!  1. Find people to follow by using the search tag option. When I first started, for some wild reason I never really took advantage of the sidebar, …
