Amaroni’s Little Italy, Festival Walk

I decided to take a quick break from blogging about Rome to continue my food adventures in Hong Kong! Here is by far my favorite place to eat.  Yes, this place is romantic and I would take Brandon here as soon as he comes to Hong Kong. & Yes, the cabornora here is amazing and is even better than all the carbonara I’ve ever had in my entire life + that includes Rome.  I mentioned before that when Jane began to travel all over Asia (I was very jealous), it rekindled my friendship with Sham. So , while I missed Jane greatly – I had Sham and a new awesome friend , Nancy. Whereas Jane and I stuck to mostly asian food, Sham introduced me to more western food and thankfully… this place. I’ve never been a big fan of pasta, but I am still dreaming about the delicious spaghetti Carbonara.  We got to eat here twice I think, maybe three times at most and each time was better than the first. First of all, the environment is …

LA EATS { Seongbukdong }

Seongbukdong Review  3303 W 6th St Los Angeles, CA 90020 Koreatown, Wilshire Center So, before we had dessert at the wonderful Caffe Bene  we got to go eat Lunch here. My friend yelped it and it had great reviews, two of the most famous dishes were the “Braised Short Rib & Mackerel”. Yelp also claimed that there was always a long wait, so we were pretty excited to go! I wanted KBBQ but since we were in KTOWN, we decided to have korean food that we wouldn’t be able to get in Cerritos or Anaheim. No wonder Yelp said this place always had a long wait… it is tiny! But everything about it was very homely and comfortable so I can’t really complain. The food You probably can’t tell from this picture (or maybe you can) but the Braised short rib was pretty small. The server even told us it was fit for ONE PERSON. Guess how much it was? It was like 33 dollars! Sorry, but it reminded me of Bo Kho or something. It …

What I did – 4th of July!

Preparing for the 4th Of July !  Hopefully you guys all had an amazing weekend filled with lots of BBQed food and drinks! Usually, July 4th isn’t that big of a deal for me… my parents and I just spend it at the beach watching fireworks. This year was different, I got to celebrate July 4th with Brandon and it was preeetttyyy amazing! He surprised me by taking me to the Marriott hotel near Disneyland. Our original plans were to go to Disney but our plans got ruined… nonetheless, we had a great night! We ate in, watched some Key & Peele, and had the time of our lives!  Remember my spa water post? Their water was especially tasty. This is the first time we stayed at the Marriott hotel; Brandon usually gets the Hyatt or Holiday Inn. Out of all the hotels I would say this is one of the nicest rooms we’ve gotten (behind the Omni). The price was pretty affordable also. Although the room was really nice, the scenery and surroundings couldn’t compete with …

Salsa Chicken Recipe

      I’ll admit it, I”m a horrible cook. My mother always left the cooking up to my sister, while I was in charge of washing the dishes and helping prep – so when I moved out on my own last summer I really didn’t know what to do. Gaining the 30lbs probably came from the nights that Brandon and I ate Carne Asada Fries (we lived next door to a place) or the Boiling crab (crawfish galore) or the KBBQ… So today, on a whim I decided to make Salsa Chicken!  Brandon made it for me once, but he used too much Taco Seasoning and it was very salty; so this time I decided to just buy one packet. I also made a huge HUGE mistake – I literally decided to thaw the chicken 5 minutes before…. I think I spent like an hour trying to thaw frozen chicken; I boiled water – tried to shove it into the bag, I used my arms to try to rip the chicken from each other to no avail. I know, …
