Laduree Macarons

I’m going to let you guys in on a little secret… that NO ONE KNOWS, except you guys. Those beautiful and delicious macarons in the photo? Aren’t mine. Those hands holding that beautiful box? Isn’t mine. Basically, I was stupid and did not get any macarons. I got Laduree mixed up with Bottega Louie in LA and refused to spend 36 Euros on a box of macarons! Story Time… Vicky and I decided to go to Laduree on our last night and it was our last stop before heading back home. Vicky didn’t even know what Laduree was and wanted to go since my sister told me to get her some macarons. We walked inside the gorgeous store (there was a little cart outside that sold macarons and icecream) and waited in line. I didn’t understand why there were so many foreigners in line, some were even from LA! When we got to the counter, Vicky asked the guy for the prices. Guy: A pack of 6 will be 18 Euros.  Vicky: So cheap! Me: What the hell, that’s expensive. …

Lemon Shakers

Lemon Shakers Like I said, we visited the Effiel Tower everyday! So on our last night there, we went to the Effiel Tower to try to get some polaroid photos of us in front of it. After the trek, we were so thirsty and saw a line outside of this booth so we decided to get some lemonade. I really wanted to get strawberry, but there weren’t anymore left. The guy working was very sweet and talkative. He knew so many languages and was Ukranian. I thought the process of making lemonade was super cool also, they used a machine to press down on the Lemons! He told us that everyone here was basically a tourist and that all the french people have gone on vacation during August since August is notorious for having so many tourists. The lemonade was sooo good that we drank all of it within 5 minutes of getting the drink. Nothing better than freshly made lemonade. We were also able to choose how much sugar we wanted in our lemonade, …

Princess Crepe, Paris, France

Princess Crepe Honestly, what would be the whole point of going to Paris if we didn’t have any crepes? We actually got to have crepes in amsterdam but those turned out horribly bad! I thought I had written a post on it… but guess I didn’t! Anyway, back to the marvelous crepe place in Paris…. We found this place on YELP , so were excited to try it and it was near the Van Gogh Museum so we didn’t have to walk too far out of the way. The outside didn’t really look like anything special, but compared to the shops in Paris it really stood out, so it didn’t take us too long to find it. I took a quick picture of these cute little crepes on display for those who were passing by. The workers were all so cute and I loved that they spoke Japanese with one another. When we went, there was only one couple inside the store that was patiently waiting for their crepe to finish – which was fine by us because we customized our …

At the top of the Effiel Tower

At the top of the Effiel Tower Cost: 15 Euros (for elevator) Can you guys believe that I went to see the Effiel tower everyday that I was in Paris?! We got to visit the Effiel tower right after visiting the >> Arc De Triomphe << and it was really easy to get to. Just a quick walk from the subway and we were there. And boy, do I have plenty of stories to tell you guys!  We both wanted to buy keychains, but after seeing that they were about 4 euros at the Arc Souvenir shop, we decided not to buy any souvenirs. Too expensive, I mean who would pay that much for a keychain? So, as we exited the subway we saw an amazing sight.  There was a man, selling 5 keychains for 1 EURO. I kid you not! This man was sprawled on the sidewalk, selling 5 keychains! Vicky & I swooped in and grabbed 10 keychains each and paid him before leaving. He was speaking spanish, japanese, french and english! Talk about a talented salesman! …

Leaving my heart at the Pont Des Arts

Declaring my love at Pont Des Arts Could anything be more dreamier or romantic? I mean, I guess if Brandon went… it would be better hah! But, this was the second most exciting thing we did after the Effiel Tower! We heard that the main bridge for locks was torn down, so this was another place we could go to leave our locks of love. As you can see, it’s pretty popular but there were still some space to put our locks. Of course, I put Diana <3’s Brandon, and don’t worry I’ll be back here with him soon to update it ! We knew we wanted to go here, so we were able to buy our locks at Target, but if you forgot to buy yours… then don’t worry! There are plenty of vendors that are right next to the bridge. Heck, you could even get yours customized if you wanted to!  I took a look around and found some cute locks that I liked. These are pretty cute, and I especially love the “She said yes!” one. What …
