Welcome to The Palazzo

And we’re finally here at Sin City! So, after Sushi we finally headed over to the Palazzo. I’ve never stayed there before, and frankly I didn’t know what to expect. I mean, just the night before we stayed at Buffalo Bill’s which was considered a budget hotel but this hotel was 260+ . But split between 5 people, it wasn’t too bad. We also got a great deal on groupon.com, so make sure you always check groupon before going to vegas!  We quickly parked and I jumped out of the car to go stand in line… which was a great idea because as you can tell … the line was long!   It all paid off though as we entered our “suite”. I was expecting just a simple room with two small beds (I mean, vegas is pricey and this is right on the strip though a bit far). But, I was really surprised and excited! Of course, everyone took out their phones and started snapping photos!

Buffalo Bill Hotel Review

Vegas Weekend! Ahh Vegas, the place where most of people I know flock to at least once a month. Why? Well, it’s the one place where you can walk around with an open bottle in your hand, amazing buffets, gorgeous hotel rooms, and beautiful people. But, Vegas hasn’t been that great to me. I started clubbing right when I turned 18 and went clubbing at least every two weeks, sometimes three times a week. And, I always went clubbing sober (the legal drinking age is 21 here in cali). But, when I turned 21… I was all clubbed out – if that’s possible. Maybe because I had a boyfriend, or because I lost my favorite pair of heels and now I can only dance for a hour before heading back to the hotel – I don’t know. Anyway, I digress. After our flight to Hawaii did not work out, we decided to drive to Vegas at around 7 PM. The drive is only 4 – 5 hours and since we were trying to save money… we decided to stay at Buffalo Bills. Now, …

Welcome to Rome! Beldes HR Hotel

Beldes HR Hotel Via degli Scipioni, 239, 00192 Roma, Italy I loved this hotel! It was close to the subway (only 3 minutes away), close to the bus stops (also 3 mins away), and within walking distance to all the places we wanted to go to. I especially love traveling with my sister because she plans EVERYTHING and she picked this hotel because it was right in the middle. Also, it’s only two blocks away from a famous gelato place.  Location: The hotel was super convenient to get to. In order to get to the Hotel from the airport we simply caught a bus, then took the bus to the main subway station which is : Termini. Then we took the subway and got off Lepanto. So if you decide to stay here, getting here is a breeze from all major landmarks because you can simply take the bus or subway and get off at this stop! It is within walking distance to most major landmarks, such as the spanish steps, shopping centers, farmers market and others. Also there …

Cozy Loft Hostel Review – MongKok

I moved to the big city! I’m in love with Cozy Loft Hostel in Mong Kok!! It’s been a good month since I’ve moved from Chai Wan to Mong Kok. Also, I have my hardest final tomorrow morning so pardon me if this is a horrible and quick post! I was not happy with my living situation in Chai Wan, I mean sure it was a nice hotel and everything was great… but it took me an hour to get anywhere decent. So, after two months I called it quits – went on airbnb and found a hostel to stay at temporarily before I was going to move to Yau Ma Tei. I found a studio for 5500 HKD = 708 USD (pricey) and was set on staying there.  I went to go view the studio with Tom and it was horrible. The entrance looked like it had been riddled with bullets as there were bullet holes everywhere (okay, I’m exaggerating – but you get the gist). There wasn’t an elevator so we had to walk up …

Fairmont Newport Beach Hotel & Resort

Fairmont Hotel  As some of you guys may know, Brandon loves surprising me by having a “getaway” at a hotel. I think this is one of my favorites so far, particulary because of one surprise! We went here yesterday after eating dinner at Sake 2 me. As a tip, use express deals from Priceline – we love it! You don’t see what hotel you get, but you can choose the area and see how many stars it is and the price, def. worth it. The hotel was about 90 dollars, and parking was a whopping $30. They park your car for you… so I guess that was nice, but it made me very uncomfortable. Also, it is located in Newport Beach! The hotel offers a shuttle to : Fashion Island, Balboa Island, and South Coast Plaza. It is also near the airport 🙂 Hotel Lobby Inside our room  My favorite part were the bathrobes!!!  We’ve stayed at other 4 star hotels before, but this was the first one to offer bathrobes. Since they only gave us one, we called the front …

A peek inside my hotel

Currently staying at the Y-LOFT in CHAI WAN.  I might be staying here for 5 months but Im not sure yet. I pay about 510 a month so the room is more than 1000  a month for my roomie and I. The place is very nice so I don’t mind paying that much though I wish it were bigger. But, my sister said that this is one of the bigger hotels so I guess I just have to suck it up. The neighborhood is OK, I am surrounded by two shopping malls though (pics up later), so I guess I can’t complain. The reason why I said the neighborhood was OK is because we are very far from everything. We are actually the very last stop on the metro!  It also boasts of a fitness room and an upcoming restaurant. Since I’m up at 2 am everyday I make sure to go and work out as soon as the fitness room opens which is at 8 am . The fitness room is actually only 4 …

What I did – 4th of July!

Preparing for the 4th Of July !  Hopefully you guys all had an amazing weekend filled with lots of BBQed food and drinks! Usually, July 4th isn’t that big of a deal for me… my parents and I just spend it at the beach watching fireworks. This year was different, I got to celebrate July 4th with Brandon and it was preeetttyyy amazing! He surprised me by taking me to the Marriott hotel near Disneyland. Our original plans were to go to Disney but our plans got ruined… nonetheless, we had a great night! We ate in, watched some Key & Peele, and had the time of our lives!  Remember my spa water post? Their water was especially tasty. This is the first time we stayed at the Marriott hotel; Brandon usually gets the Hyatt or Holiday Inn. Out of all the hotels I would say this is one of the nicest rooms we’ve gotten (behind the Omni). The price was pretty affordable also. Although the room was really nice, the scenery and surroundings couldn’t compete with …
