Video of LA Adventures!

and yes, I know the wording is BLURRY! I made the text too small. Also, the video isn’t that great because It was my first time using adobe to edit it instead of Imovie. Huge learning curve if you ask me! I’m going to France & Amsterdam in 2 days!  Sorry for being MIA for such a long time! I have been designing my new blog and guess what? I’ve chosen a new platform! Don’t worry though – I’ll be writing why I chose this platform (squarespace) instead of wordpress! Watch this video in the meantime, and I’ll be back at the end of the Month. I know I know, I’m so behind. end of the month… cause …..I’m going to France & Amsterdam in 2 days!

Mon Hue Restaurant , Saigon, Vietnam

Mon Hue Restaurant – Saigon, Vietnam After we visited the Cu Chi Tunnels, we tiredly drove back to Saigon where we were met with massive traffic. Brandon whipped out his phone to record some videos of the crazy traffic, which I’ll have for you guys soon I swear! Everyone asked us where we wanted to eat, and so we said Bun Bo Hue. Bun Bo Hue, is def. my favorite – I prefer it over Pho and Brandon loves it, so we were both excited to taste authentic Bun Bo Hue, in saigon nonetheless! They decided that we all deserved AC and a nice environment, so they took us to Mon Hue. Surprisingly, I remembered this place from 4 years ago when my aunt hosted her birthday party here. The decor was very modern, and it was amazingly cold outside. may not seem like a big deal to you… but trust me, we have been standing / walking outside in the heat all day! Our huge party of 13 sat down. Sadly, my uncle couldn’t eat with us, there wasn’t any parking …

cuchitunnels

Welcome to the Cu Chi Tunnels!

Cu Chi Tunnels  One of the places that Brandon really wanted to visit were the Cu Chi Tunnels. My mother didn’t want us to visit the tunnels because she said it was too far, but it was one of the best days I had in Vietnam – we both learned so much! We started the day by renting a car (thankfully one of my uncles knows how to drive a car in VN – its all stick shift) and we started on the journey. We stopped by this little pho shop and Brandon had his first and only bowl of pho in Vietnam! It only cost 1 USD for this bowl of pho, and it tasted great! I didn’t have any because I was still full from having broken rice heh. Why did he have just one bowl of pho during his whole stay in VN? We actually spent most of our days eating bun bo hue (but that’s for another day)! After driving for an hour and a half, we finally got to our destination.. The great thing …

Vietnam First Day Recap & Photo Recap of the trip!

Hello lovely wordpress bloggers! As you guys know, I was able to go to Vietnam and Hong Kong for two weeks with Brandon. Brandon has never been out of country before, and he applied for his passport for this trip – we were both very excited! I hadn’t seen my family for 5 years and he has never ventured outside of california (except to texas, and to las vegas). We quickly packed our bags (I packed the day before) prayed to the airline gods that we would make our flight (going standby is stressful but amazing) and we were able to make all our flights!  Seattle Airport Our first layover was at Seattle, and the airport is gorgeous! Very spacious, with lots of great dining areas. We decided on eating some fish tacos & fish and chips. It was a great choice though a bit pricey, about 20+ bucks. Oh well, airport food… Finally we were able to board the airplane to head to Hong kong! Here he is looking very tired (sorry babe!) and excited! His …

instagram accounts to follow

3 Hong Kong Foodies you need to follow!

Follow these Hong Kong Foodies ! I’m gearing up for my upcoming trip to Asia, visiting Hong Kong + Vietnam with Brandon. I am so excited, especially since I hope to go with a new camera in hand, and send back lots and lots of photos and restaurants to blog about. To get ready for all the yummy places that I want to visit, I did some research and followed Hong Kong Foodie Instagram accounts! This is great because you could spend all your time reading blogs and looking at photos But let’s be honest, that takes up too much time! So, just simply looking at someone’s Instagram account and clicking on the photo you like is so much easier. Now, if they check in then you can see where it’s located, etc so that makes things faster! No more having to do research to see where the best places are.  *All photos are clickable, just click for their link!  1) Food Craver Doesn’t that look like so much good food? My favorite, however, would have to be the dessert on …

Delta Airlines – Best Airplane Meals

Delta Airlines has the best meals, hands down! Well, of course I might be a little Bias, since I only fly Delta but still – I love airplane food regardless.  Back in December and January, I traveled from Hong Kong to LA, then LA to England, then back home, then finally traveled from LA to Rome then back home. Needless to say, I felt like I spent my whole month traveling and getting sick. Even as a frequent traveler, my immune system always acts up. But I digress. During those traveling periods, the only thing that stopped me from going insane was all the movies I got to watch and all the delicious food I got to eat. Here’s a collection of some of the best airplane food I’ve ever had! Even though first class / business class offers alcoholic drinks, I’m not much of a cocktail girl. So, I always make sure to just get juice, though my sister always get Mimosas! I especially love how there are three courses; the appetizer, the entree, then dessert! The …

England Vlog

Watch my England Vlog ! In January, I was able to go to England to visit my friend Tom for a week. It was really fun though I wouldn’t really want to go again. London was way too overpriced and I prefer Rome instead. If you want to catch up on my England travel posts then you can view them here 🙂 This was my first ever video that I made so I’m very proud of it, although you can obviously see how “new” I was at making videos! When I travel in the summer, then I’ll be sure to post up even more videos! My rome files were erased, so all the clips I took were lost 😦  1. On the way to England – See all the yummy food I got to eat on the plane! 2. Brighton Pier – Regency Restaurant – My first time having FISH AND CHIPS. Delicious! 3. Ultimate favorite – Bourough Market – A Marketplace for freshly made food, everything was so delicious – also featuring my HUGE burger. See the rest …

How studying abroad changed my life.

It’s been more than 3 months.. More than three months since I’ve traveled more than 7000 miles to Hong Kong and experienced life in a completely different world. I’ve always heard the quote, “Travel far enough, you meet yourself.” But, I never paid much attention to it. I’m not new to traveling around the world, ever since I was young I remember getting on the airplane and visiting my cousins in Vietnam, New York, or France. As an avid traveler, I never came back from a trip “magically” changed. But, that was different. This trip opened my eyes to all the beautiful things I’ve never thought to think about – or experience. I hope everyone will get the chance to study abroad, or live in an entirely different country for more than a month.  1) Traveling alone is the best. I’m more about adventures, less about routine. I’ve always been a “stay at home, read a book” kind of girl. I hated hiking, didn’t really care much for sight-seeing, and although I traveled – I never really …

Welcome to The Palazzo

And we’re finally here at Sin City! So, after Sushi we finally headed over to the Palazzo. I’ve never stayed there before, and frankly I didn’t know what to expect. I mean, just the night before we stayed at Buffalo Bill’s which was considered a budget hotel but this hotel was 260+ . But split between 5 people, it wasn’t too bad. We also got a great deal on groupon.com, so make sure you always check groupon before going to vegas!  We quickly parked and I jumped out of the car to go stand in line… which was a great idea because as you can tell … the line was long!   It all paid off though as we entered our “suite”. I was expecting just a simple room with two small beds (I mean, vegas is pricey and this is right on the strip though a bit far). But, I was really surprised and excited! Of course, everyone took out their phones and started snapping photos!

SUSHI HOUSE GOYEMON Review

SUSHI HOUSE GOYEMON Frias Shopping Center, 5255 S Decatur Blvd #118, Las Vegas, NV 89118 After we went shopping at the outlet (where Brandon bought a new shirt and I bought a cardi) we quickly sped to our favorite sushi restaurant. Although the place opened at 12 and we got there at 12:15, it was completely packed and the hostess told us it would be a one hour wait.  Now, why is this place so popular? For about 25 dollars, you can have AYCE SUSHI. I’ve been eating AYCE sushi for the longest but yet this place is just so amazing. Mostly because of their desserts. Plus, there’s over 1,000 reviews on YELP  and they have 4 stars. Finally, after the long wait we headed in. My cousin drinking their pineapple sake. It was really refreshing and delicious! I love eating raw fish, so I opted for Salmon Nigiri along with Yellow Tail. I think I ate about 30 pieces of Salmon. Another thing they had was Seared Salmon, it was delicious and not a lot of places offer that. Brandon is …
