get ig followers

How to increase your Instagram Followers

Getting Instagram followers is hard, I should know. I actually made an Instagram for my blog 3 times, and deleted it twice. The last time I deleted my Instagram, I decided to connect my blog with my personal instagram, but I felt like I was spamming my friends so I ended up creating my Instagram 15 weeks ago and have 99 followers. So, what’s the key to getting Instagram followers? I decided to ask Jennifer from jenniferleighg.com what her secret was. Jennifer has 10K+ followers on Instagram.  > Check her out on IG here<  The Interview 1) What is your blog about and why did you start it? I think nearly every blogger has that moment where they ask themselves if they should really start a blog and put themselves out there ; I certainly did, and I’m really happy I made that decision. My blog is a place where I can document my ideas, opinions, and life, all while sharing it with others who may be interested. I started my blog in February of 2015.  It has been live for only a few short months, but already I’ve been …

Introducing my camera : Samsung NX3000

My Samsung NX3000  Scroll to the bottom of this post to view some test shots with it!  On Saturday, I had my graduation party where I was surrounded by all my wonderful friends and the boyfriend. At the end of the party, my boyfriend and best friend asked everyone to take a group photo so as he was taking the photo, my best friend told him to grab her phone so he could take the photo. He went inside my room and suddenly came out with this beauty! I was so surprised because I was expecting my parents to get the camera for me after my graduation. Get a nice long look at this camera because hopefully you won’t see it too much (since I’ll be taking photos with it from now on!). This is my first non point and shoot camera and I couldn’t be happier! It is super light and compact – which makes it great for traveling, and for shooting vlogs!   Brandon was also sweet enough to charge it the day prior to my party, buy me …

Photography Tips for Bloggers!

If you’ve been following me since the beginning, you would notice that my photos have gotten a little bit better. Before, I used to just take pictures wherever whenever, but after fixing up my room I realized that the sun reflects quite perfectly on my bed. I began to take photos by placing my items on my bed sheet (white) and snapping photos – the white contrast with the lighting improved my pictures significantly. I have a point and shoot camera, and have recently started playing around with the features. I decided to search for some resources and then I came across a blogger who wrote, “I’ll show you guys some tips… but I’ll leave out some important things because… obviously for reasons.” Well, as a blogger – I don’t want to do that. Blogging may be a source of income for some, but not for me. I want to grow with my readers and help them improve also! Here are a few resources and guides that I have found – pertaining only to Photography.

Tips for New Bloggers

After blogging for more than a year and a half, I decided to compile a list of things I wish I knew earlier on in my blogging journey. I’ve always wondered why people had so much more followers compared to me when they had only been blogging for a month or two. Though some could say that it is content, (cause my blog sucks) others might say that it’s due to how hard they work. To be honest, when I first started blogging the first few months I did practically nothing. Yes, I managed to post about 3 times a week, and I have gone months where I posted everyday, but that was all I did. No interaction, nothing. So, if you’re a new blogger, I hope you can see this list and hopefully learn something that will help you on your journey that we call “blogging.”  Included in the list are some tips that I just recently learned!  1. Find people to follow by using the search tag option. When I first started, for some wild reason I never really took advantage of the sidebar, …

Starting my Valentines Day Early…

Valentines Day is almost here! Came home to this wonderful bouquet from the boyfriend. I was having a sort of stressful day today, and was very happy to receive such a nice surprise. Brandon has always gotten me flowers through a third party source such as 1-800-flowers or in this case, Conroys. I do appreciate it, but I think the delivery service is quite expensive… I’ll make sure to ask him to get me chocolate covered strawberries next time! haha. I decided to use his bouquet as a prop for the rest of my post! I bought these cute little Valentine Day Cards at Hallmark and can’t wait to give one to Brandon. Can you guess which one I chose?  This one? Just kidding! I’m not that mean to him haha, though I do think this would be a great card when we are an old married couple. This one is more my type. Ignore my fat thumb! I’ll make sure to write something cute for him. But, as we will be together on Friday and …
